Web7 nov. 2009 · I removed my under seal with a heat gun and scraper, a mate of mine used a blow torch which was very effective but also hurt a lot when a big blob of it dripped on his arm! I followed up with paint stripper and wire wool. I used an angle grinder to remove what little rust there was followed by awipe of phosphoric acid and washed off with water. Web28 aug. 2013 · I've finally got round to the job of undersealing my punto. I've bought some dinitrol cavity wax, rust convertor and underseal. I plan to wash underneath, degrease, clean off any flaking old underseal, clean off the rusted parts and use the rust convertor/primer on them. Then I'll spray on the underseal.
