WebFeb 13, 2024 · So even though I can *measure* my threads (2.5mm on a 15mm outer-dia male nipple of 10mm height) it appears that Fusion360 has no support for actually making anything "thread-like" as parametric ? ... Looks like it's first-principals time for me now... design something totally from scratch that uses paths and profiles instead ... sigh. WebDec 3, 2024 · The thread pitch is indeed the reason it won't screw in properly. It's not even exactly 0.9mm, the thread on standard fittings is actually 1/8" BSP, which is 28tpi and about 9.8mm diameter, though the differences in diameter and pitch are too small to matter here. Anyway, BSP is one of the standards available in Fusion 360.

Something with 0.2mm tolerance might be fine in PLA, but might "grab" in PETG because of the more rubbery properties of that plastic. You can select the face of the thread in Fusion and "Q" it by -0.1mm and print again until you get what you want.
